Show us you’re U.G.L.Y.

Australian bartenders raise funds to help families facing the challenge of blood cancer.

Taking part in U.G.L.Y Bartender is a win-win!

U.G.L.Y. Bartender contestants create events, fundraisers, games and experiences that their patrons embrace.

Each bartender who raises over $2,240 qualifies for fundraising awards as our way of saying thank you for giving their time and talents to help the Leukaemia Foundation’s work.

The top five highest fundraisers nationally receive a Prezzee gift card for $3,500 which can be spent at over 80 leading retailers, plus a really U.G.L.Y. trophy award to the 1st place fundraiser to display at their venue.

U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year is embraced by Australia’s hospitality industry and is now recognised as the biggest industry fundraiser in Australia. U.G.L.Y. participation is designed to be win-win: the activities are a great way to get more people into venues to have a good time whilst raising money to help the Leukaemia Foundation provide accommodation for families facing blood cancer.

How your support helps

Each year, the Leukaemia Foundation helps more than 750 families from regional and rural Australia by providing free accommodation in our capital cities so they can access life-saving treatment at major hospitals.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s apartments, townhouses and units are designed as a complete 'home-away-from-home'.

Funds raised by U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year provide this accommodation at no cost to families.

It means they have a space to call their own during the most challenging and difficult period in their lives, and it relieves the emotional and financial stress of moving to the city.

Stays can vary from two nights to two years, depending on treatment and we pledge to provide the accommodation for as long as people need it.

Since 2009 U.G.L.Y. Bartenders have raised over $11.7 million providing over 145,000 nights of accommodation.

Thank you!
